If it's hosted in such a way that you can create some kind of database and write some simple middleware to manage it, it's not hard to make something like xanga.
HomeTeamFamily Posted July 31, 2005 Author Posted July 31, 2005 well i went to www.blogger.com and made one please check it out here! id love to hear any feedback!!! please keep in mind that its my very first one and im not very html savvy, so any complicated formatting and stuff will have to wait

HomeTeamFamily Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 does anyone know how to add a hitcounter to my site so i can see how many people actually visit it?
jgirl Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 I use blogger for my site (http://jvd.iheartnormal.com), and don't use a blogger template. I've been using blogger since 2001, and it's really easy to use, plus you can make your own template and insert their code! As for the counter, my host (godaddy.com) automatically tracks my visitors, but I also use nedstat.
EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005
Blogger lets you do this?? cool
Yeah they pretty much tell you to do whatever you want. They even list all the template tags for you. As of yesterday, I think I finnally stripped the interface of everything "bloggy" (dates, signature, ect.).
HomeTeamFamily Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 ok still need the "how to install a counter on my site" and also if you go to my site and click on the links i get paid

For the sake of my own self-esteem, I choose not to have a counter. That way I can pretend everyone visits my site all the time! : Edited August 1, 2005 by thedude
