Most of my library is in storage (stupid, annoying tiny house) and I haven't so much as seen many of my books in 7+ years... but, IIRC, I have at least these:

6. “The Mansions” by St. Teresa of Avila
7. “The Way of Perfection” by St. Teresa of Avila
21. “Voices of Silence: Lives of the Trappists Today” by Frank Bianco

And probably some others. This is so embarassing.

Anyway, I'd recommend starting with either 1. “Worthy is the Lamb: The Biblical Roots of the Mass” by Thomas J. Nash or 26. “Care of the Soul: A Guide for Cultivating Depth and Sacredness in Everyday Life” by Thomas Moore, but personally I like 6. “The Mansions” by St. Teresa of Avila best of all. :)

Most of them look like they have never even been opened!! Which is awesome since they will hold up in the long term.

I'm glad I found that one! It looked like a great 'un. And I can't wait to read some of Teresa...can't believe they both were there, and looking so pretty!

I'm so excited about all of our finds...

Parish festivals are the best!

Fr. Leonard Feeney's book sounds alright, but beware of his errant teaching on salvation outside the Church...

The Incredible Book of Vatican Facts and Papal Curiosities: a Treasury of Trivia advances the myth of "Pope Joan". This might be the book that was initially written with Vatican approval which was then withdrawn after the finished product was presented. Beware.

Leonard Foley?...

The Pope Joan thing it calls a "legend" but definitely doesn't take the correct tone in dealing with it. Thanks for the heads up.

Whoops. Read it as "Feeney." I must be paranoid; I read alot about "Feeneyism". Never heard of Fr. Foley.
