Snowcatpa Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 It's ONLY my favorite musical EVER! A cult classic if there ever was one. The Rodney Dangerfield of Movie-musicals - it never gets any respect! There are a good handful of Newsies fans out there who have worn out a videotape or two of the musical (like me ) and dance like crazy to the relatively recently released CD soundtrack in their living room! my whole family actually listens to the CD in the car on road trips.... ahhh.... Let us Seize the Day!
InCircles' brother Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 awesome... i just got introduced to the newsies recently... i took my friend to watch batman and she was like you want to see him 15 years ago... and its her favorite movie also... so i saw it... We rented Annie and my daughter just loved it and I was trying to think of other "modern musicals" and I remembered this one. I saw it when it first came out, but haven't seen it since.

It's really wholesome too The language is pretty innocent and the story's got lots of morals- an updated David and Goliath! I hope your daughter likes this one

jgirl Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 (edited) Oh wow! I loved that movie, mainly because the songs are catchy and the guys were oh so cute! It had Christian Bale and the guy who played Vinnie on Doogie Houser. I was always a sucker for Vinnie! I have the dvd and the songs on my ipod! Edited August 4, 2005 by jgirl
