Leah Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 At the parish I attend, they celebrate a Nigerian Mass every second Sunday. How is this different than the "regular" Mass?
Cam42 Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 From what I can gather, it is a Mass celebrated by a Nigerian priest.
Laudate_Dominum Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 I'm guessing, but I know when there is a large hispanic population a parish will have a spanish Mass. Maybe there is a Nigerian population in the community so they have a Nigerian Mass? There are different customs in Nigeria and they might use the music and things common to Nigeria. The Mass is probably still in English though, as there are many other languages spoken in Nigeria, but I've noticed that the vast majority of Nigerian priests that I've met in this country are Igbo..
