Maccabeus Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Why is it that Jesus is also refered to as a Lamb, but than again, in Revelation 5:5 he's refered to as the Lion?! So which one is he then?
Carson Weber Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 He's both. Jesus is (1) the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and (2) the New Paschal Lamb of the Jewish Passover. Both are images, of course. The first depicts his kingship as a royal descendant of King David. The second depicts his sacrificial work as Paschal victim.
