daugher-of-Mary Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 (edited) An member of the Orthodox Church posted this on another board about Mary...an application of Scripture I'd never heard before. 1 Tim 2:15
But women will be saved through childbearing and by continuing to live in faith, love, holiness, and modesty.
If women can be saved by bearing children who are not God, and by living decent lives-, then what shall we say of a woman who bore the Eternal Fire and who lived a life of piety and humility? phatcatholic Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 i dunno, what would we say? (how does he answer this question?)
daugher-of-Mary Posted August 4, 2005 Author Posted August 4, 2005 I'm thinking the question was rhetorical
phatcatholic Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 right.........but i'm guessing he intends the reader to come to a particular conclusion. i'd be interested to see where he's going w/ his argument.
