Awesome! :) I haven't ever made a really successful clothing item.... I did make curtains and a blanket for Adrienne, though. :) I love my sewing machine, too, I want to get better at using it to make more stuff.

That's beautiful!!!!

I live in skirts. Very rarely do I ever had a pair of pants on. I'm looking for some simple patterns to make heavier warmer LONGER skirts for the winter.

Great job!!!! It looks simple too. Where did you find the pattern?? (And the fabric is GORGEOUS!!)

That skirt is too cute!
ohh my gosh, I LOVE sewing and making things. It's so much fun, if you have the time. I'm working on this shirt right now, it's white with tiny pink glass beads on the top...hard to describe, but it's very time consuming sewing the beads on (by hand ) Anyway...I was thinking about making my own homecoming dress this year, for senior year. Craftiness rocks :punk:

My goal is to have it done by.......oh I dunno know. Maybe this time next year!!!! I wish I had more time to do all the crafts I want to get done!!

Very pretty skirt! I love the fabric. I bet you will get compliments all the time in that.

I love sewing my own clothes. I used to make lots of stuff, until I moved into this :censored: little house where I have no room for my machine.

I made myself a gorgeous white dress for my baptism. :saint:

Thanks... It is soooo simple. I made the skirt without a pattern. its basically a big triange with a casing for an elastic waistband.
The fabric was an old sheet! Like this.
I made the difference here 20in
l
______...v...
/ \ .
/ \ .
/ \ .
/__________\ ._ <----The wider the bottom...the more drastic the points on the side.

Since it was a sheet....I did't have to hem the bottom!

ok fine.....it dosen't like my picture It killed all the spaces!

Skirts are soooo easy! The patterns make them tooo hard...I want to make a web page to show how easy they can be. I can make a skirt from a yard of fabric with one cut, two seams, a casing and a hem.

Of course I like elastic waists, whick are much easier than zippers. I can't put in a zipper to save my life!

The picture may not have worked, but the description makes sense. :)

I made one with a zipper, it came out ok, but too big! ARGH! I think I'll just save it for a post partum skirt or early pregnancy. lol
