lilac_angel Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 (edited) Hi folks.. haven't been posting here for a while, but I thought I'd mention that I found out yesterday that I'm pregnant. My husband is peach_cube on here. I'm very excited. We want to raise a beautiful Catholic baby (maybe even a priest or a nun! ) Please pray that it is healthy and that the pregnancy goes well - I have a few worries because I'm already a month pregnant and only found out yesterday...I had bad artificial sweetener (saccharin) for a while and took a few meds that aren't good during pregnancy before I knew I was pregnant , so please pray!!! Thanks! Edited August 6, 2005 by lilac_angel

prose Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 (edited) Hey! Hello from one preggo to another! Congratulations! I wouldn't worry too much about taking a few meds or some artificial sweetener before you even knew you were pregnant. Babies are pretty protected during that first while (that's what my doc told me). Everything should be fine It is a very exciting time! Is this your first? Edited August 6, 2005 by prose

lilac_angel Posted August 6, 2005 Author Posted August 6, 2005 (edited) Thanks everyone!!! [quote name='prose' date='Aug 6 2005, 01:41 PM']Congratulations! Being naturally prone to anxiety, I'm a little nervous...but also happy and excited. And congratulations to you too!!! Apparently, I'm about a month pregnant; we only found out yesterday. I took the bulk of the meds mainly around day 10 of being preg (we're guessing), but the scary sweetener until super-recently. Hopefully the baby was still pretty protected - I heard if the substances do harm to the fetus in the early days of pregnancy, it's all or nothing (a miscarriage takes place or the baby is okay). Thanks be to God that all seems well so far. Edited August 6, 2005 by lilac_angel
