Janana8706 Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 i had a weird dream, but only remember the very last part. I was on my way to work, but it was dark. They had the whole road blocked off w/ police cars. I don't remember why, but when i woke up my heart was pounding and i was breathing really hard. The funny thing is when i went to work that morning, the road was blocked off only about 2 miles closer to work, and by signs not a police officer.

sweetpea316 Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I had a really weird dream two nights ago and I feel like posting about it...I figured this would be a fitting place to put it. Here's a short version of it... I was at some huge kind of retreat thing (it made me think of WYD for some reason) and I was just hanging out with a big group of people. All of a sudden, someone pulls me to the side and said that I've been asked to make a speech to everyone there about myself and Catholicism. Everyone around me was encouraging me to do it, but I was very reluctant to. I remember that I [i]did[/i] want to, but in the end I refused to do it because I was afraid that my parents would find out somehow. I was afraid that if they did find out, they'd practically disown me and would force me to stay away from everything Catholic. I don't know if that's supposed to mean anything, but it kinda weirded me out when I woke up. What do yall think? I mean, I am a little worried about how my parents will receive the news about me and Catholicism, but that dream freaked me out.

Sounds like you're apprehension about your parents reaction to Catholicism is really worrying you. I don't have any good advice about how to handle parents when converting (cradle Catholic). I bet the Converts phorum has some good stuff to help in there.
