wopsim Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 All you need is Love! You're John, and you're an all-out idealist - Love is the answer to all the world's problems, if only they'd listen to you. While they weren't listening, you wrote some sappy epistles, did mushrooms on Patmos, and an anti-semitic Gospel is attributed to you! i'm not a fan of this description.....
toledo_jesus Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 "You're Augustine! After a life of debauchery, you embraced Christianity as the ultimate in Truth and Fulfillment. You denied yourself fleshly pleasure or satisfaction; for you, no amount of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll can compare to knowing God. To convince others of that, you defended Christianity against its earliest critics." word to your mother.
Laudate_Dominum Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I got Saint John!!!!!!! I wouldn't mind being him. But the description was lame.
Old_Joe Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 I finally figured out the mushrooms thing. John went to Patmos where it is believed he did most of his writings, namely the book of Revelation, which as you know deals a lot with visions and such. I think they're trying to say that he hallucinating after eating bad mushrooms. Lame.
zabbazooey Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 St. Francis of Assisi! The Uber-Mother Teresa, Francis believed in imitating Christ's life to the letter. He spent his life caring for the poor, the sick, and the unhuman, until it finally killed him. His borderline fanatic love for "the least of these" earned him respect with nearly everyone, including the Sultan, who invited him to come and preach Christianity. For Francis, preaching rarely involved words.
Sirklawd Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 w00t i got St. Francis of Assisi. i only wish the real me was a quarter of what he was.

Thy Geekdom Come Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005
i am gnostic whatever that means.
The gnostic heresy was largly a mix of Christian principles with Eastern philosophical ideas, all under the guise of a secret society you had to belong to in order to be saved.
Didacus Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 I got: Jesus is the only way! All have sinned! Repent or face eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire! You're John Wesley, and you're downright mean! You're going to Heaven, and you're taking as many people with you as you can - though if you're gonna be there, some folks aren't sure they wanna go. You perfected the art of the alter call, and your sermons made many old sinners sweat with conviction. don't even know who that is. For some reason I was hoping for Pope Gregory the Great.
marielapin Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 For all those that don't know, John Wesley started the Methodist Church.
