homeschoolmom Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005
Did you just call me sis?
Sis is short for sissy... Saying there are too many children is like saying there are too many flowers... We once visited the wonderful Catholic family in Madison. They had (I think) 12 children. My 6 year old son loved it and is often asking when we are going to go visit them again. (I think he liked that all the boys shared a huge room and stayed up way too late playing video games. )

toledo_jesus Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005
Maybe she just meant "She has a lot of kids, and I don't want you burdening her more"...
agreed. let's not be too hasty...
homeschoolmom Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Yes, but the child had been there all day and for dinner. The sleeping part of a sleep over is the least burdensome part.
dspen2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 charity requires that we give the benefit of the doubt...
homeschoolmom Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I'm wondering if the child has sleep issues-- nightmares, sleepwalking, trouble getting to sleep, etc. that she doesn't want you to have to deal with...
