It drives me nuts how in a secular setting you will find so many people who will use contraceptives like the pill, condoms or IUDs to avoid getting pregnant, but then will stop and use NFP to conceive and then get right back on their contraception the minute their baby is born. Alot of them don't even think to try NFP to avoid conception, and if they do they wimp out "because its too hard." Wah, wah, wah. It is not. Edited August 10, 2005 by IcePrincessKRS
Nicole8223 Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 It's good to hear that it is not that hard....the whole idea is a little intimidating. I mean, of course we will practice NFP, but I feel nervous that I won't do it correctly. Anyway, thanks again for all the great responses.
prose Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I think the hardest thing about NFP is the fact that is is VERY intimidating!! It took a lot before I could "trust" the method per se. Even study after study wasn't enough. I was constantly worried that I was doing it worng, or that I was missing something, but it turned out that it was much easier than it seems. It just takes a while to really be able to "trust" it I guess.

inDEED Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Take it from a 25 year old man... NFP is so awesome - we LOVE it...
IcePrincessKRS Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Yup, we wouldn't trust anything else. I think the most intimidating thing about NFP is second guessing yourself. Once you get the hang of it you'll be confident in what you're doing and really trust that you know what you're doing. Thats another reason I'd suggest starting earlier than 6 months.

homeschoolmom Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I like the TCTTWASWH method... that's the Throw Caution To The Wind And See What Happens method.
prose Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Does your household look anthing like this??: With the three best friends leading the pack!! Mine does right now and I only have one!! (and another on the way) Speaking of that: WE NEED A PREGGO SMILIE!!!
IcePrincessKRS Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Here's one Prose: Since its not part of the collection yet you'll have to copy the properties and put it in the [img][/img] brackets. There are the properties to save you a step. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ice...n_bellyrubs.gif
