zabbazooey Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 After I was hired, did Safe Environment Training, background check, drug test, the whole works, the principal called me today to tell me she gave away my hours to someone else that she hired after me. This makes me angry because she put me through the wringer for NOTHING. She said maybe she can come up with something, but right now it doesn't look like it. I changed around my school schedule for this job, because I've wanted it for a very long time (I applied last year) It's just not fair, to hire someone and make them do this and that and then fire them.
zabbazooey Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 So I applied to St. Leo's for the exact same job....maybe I can get it there! :
zabbazooey Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 Yeah it's just....really annoying. She said there might be some hours for me, but I don't even care anymore. I'm just mad now.
Noel's angel Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 slap her with a fish-it usually brings them round to seeing sense
zabbazooey Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 I wish I could....but where would i get a fish?
Carrie Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005
I wish I could....but where would i get a fish?
borrow his fish ---->
Tony Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Thats as cold as the Dairy Queen store I worked at closing its doors for 3 months without telling me....
Theoketos Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 May you gain grace from handling the situation with love and humility. Besides this just means that God does not want you there. And if He does then you will work there.
Noel's angel Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 what Theoketos said. (but buy a fish just incase...)
zabbazooey Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 Yeah, it is probably God's will for me not to work there, but it still stings. Oh well. I don't need the money all that badly...
Old_Joe Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005
Yeah, it is probably God's will for me not to work there, but it still stings. Oh well. I don't need the money all that badly...
I keep wondering the same thing. I've applied at several banks trying to get a job as a PT teller, and after a couple of job interviews I'm still stuck where I started from in the first place. I've been looking for a job for awhile and nothing has really come through for me. The problem is that the job I'm at now doesn't pay me enough. Being a college student, I need to be able to support myself.
Anastasia13 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 That place doesn't deserve you if they are going to treat you like that.
Noel's angel Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 i know, the only thing they do deserve is a good slap around the face with a trout (salmon would also suffice)
