Well, after debating and fighting it for a long time, I've decided to go to Catholic Social Services and talk to one of their counselors. I just got their paperwork in the mail today, and my first appointment is on Tuesday. I've been feeling a lot of anxiety and depression. This is not something new for me, but I'm tired of it coming up every so often disrupting my life. The worse part is that because I tend to shy away from social situations, I feel like I can't talk to anybody. That's why people feel like they don't know me. That's why I feel like I'm left out a lot of the time. It could just be I'm stressing about minor details or it could be something much worse. I not entirely sure what's going to come of this. I'm especially unsure of how I'm going to cover the cost, but I trust in God that he'll provide the means. My life has become very uncertain lately, and I'm doing the best I can.

I could definitely use some prayers...

Hey Zach,

I hope everything works out. Jen's right, keep us informed. We're here for you. :)

Oh, and I find that Neal is great to talk to and totally confidential. Scott, too...

God bless,

Micah

I know, but I think Scott moved. I've been trying to make an appointment with Fr. Matya, but he hasn't been in town lately. I'll try him again tomorrow.

hi Joe, sometimes I know how you feel sort of, sometimes I just don't know where I am going in my life, but last night for me may be something new to me, I'm starting to take some Catholic classes, and learning more about my faith, that was only the first lesson, and I'm already excited to learn more.

Anyway, I will pray for you, hope all goes well. :)

Zach, man I know how you feel! I have a regular counselor that I can call and see if I need to. For a while I saw her regularly but now it's an as needed basis. Good for you. I pray you will gain from the experience and will feel better!

Thanks people I needed that.

I was talking to a priest in confession about some of my problems, and he pointed out that I have been neglecting my relationship with God, because I had been stressing out over my relationship with my friends. I think he's right. I have so much stuff to work on I don't know where to begin.

Then today at work was carpy. I work at a steak and BBQ restaurant as a greeter for those who don't know. It wasn't very busy today because of Capital City Ribfest, but we were shorthanded. I felt like I was all over the place bussing tables, greeting, seating, handling take-out, etc. I felt like I was the only person cleaning tables. I know it's not true, cause there were several servers helping out. On top of all that one of the servers kept getting on my nerves. It was like I could do nothing right. Soemtimes I hate my job.

Well, tomorrow's the big day. I was hoping to set up an appointment with Fr. before then, but I couldn't get in contact with him. oh well. I'll talk to him anyway. I'm almost done with the paperwork. They said the first few sessions are to set up a rapport between the counselor and the client. I don't know what to expect so I'm placing it in God's hands. I only hope to have the courage to go through with this.

well, (do always start sentences that way?) I'm not as crazy as I thought, but I'm not out of the woods, yet. We talked about my background and the different things that I wanted to work on. She commended me on how I was already able to deal with some of them. I'm glad that my counselor is a female since some of my problems involve the opposite sex. Get this she went to FUS for undergrad and Grad school. I feel as a cross has been lifted even just a little.
