homeschoolmom Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Yesterday at the county fair my six year old bought an umbrella hat. Now he's walking around wearing it singing (very loudly and to the tune of "Yellow Submarine") "I was born with an umbrella on my head, umbrella on my head, umbrella on my head" And I'm thinking, "I am soooooo glad that's not true."

zabbazooey Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 (edited) I want cool kids, not like those thoughtful ones that do chores completely of their own free will : Edited August 15, 2005 by zabbazooey
homeschoolmom Posted August 15, 2005 Author Posted August 15, 2005 Even if I was single (or married and unable to have children by birth), I would just have to be around children somehow. They are just such wonderful people. (and this from a mom who spent the morning with a tantrumy toddler-- who finally passed out from exhaustion... poor guy.)
zabbazooey Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 I love kids, which is why I'm going to be an elementary teacher. I just don't really desire to have any of my own.
homeschoolmom Posted August 15, 2005 Author Posted August 15, 2005 Yeah, working with 'em can give you a good fix.

zabbazooey Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Little kids (ages newborn - 5) are the BEST!

RC_ Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 I love kids. They're great. I hope to have a whole herd of them someday.
jasJis Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 When I was in high-school, (many years ago), my social-studies teacher invented the umbrella hat.
