let_go_let_God Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 There is a large spider running around my computer desk, on the top, and every time it runs by, I get freaked out. However, I don't have the heart to kill it. I hope it goes away.... God bless- LGLG
Luthien Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 ...dont have the heart to kill it... Yeah okay... I'd kill it...I dislike spiders to the umpteenth degree...
stargirl3:16 Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Oh Lord, please guide that spider away from LGLG's computer so that the spider can live and LGLG can reclaim her desk. Amen.
let_go_let_God Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 I think the prayer worked, I haven't seen the spider for a while. God bless- LGLG
sweetpea316 Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Sometimes I think I'd rather see it than have nooo idea where it went!
Paladin D Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 <---- Indiana Jones of spiders. I hate spiders. Though they do serve a purpose, and are just like every other animal, but just stay away from me.
littleflower+JMJ Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 spiders have more spiders--if you hate them, smash them!! lol i hate them too, but if one dares comes into my room....RIP forever more in spidyland
Christie_M Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 *shivers* I saw and scwished TWO spiders! I think one was a Blackwidow, and the otherone was just too u-g-l-y!!!! my grandma killed that one
RC_ Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I'm afraid of carrots, and there's two pounds of them in the fridge!
FlyLikeABird Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 hehe carrots I usually catch spiders in a container with a lid and take them outside. If I can find a container with a clear lid I stare at the spider for a wile, I'm fascinated by creepy crawly things. I also have a healthy respect for them!
ofpheritup Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 (edited) I am not going to be any help. I LOVE SPIDERS. : I used to own a Tarantula. He died. I think he got ahold of a "bad cricket." Pesticides, ya' know. His name was NIGHTSTAR. Edited August 19, 2005 by ofpheritup
RC_ Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Spiders are cool. I love 'em. But I respect people who are afraid of them...

FlyLikeABird Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 This is way but anyhoo I've a friend who has a Siamese Fighting (Beta Splendens) and she bought two little white cloud tetras to go in with it. not even a day later the clouds were gone and the Beta was christened "Hannibal Lecter" in honour of everyones favorite cannibal. I think the two clouds would have been aptly name "Sushi" and "Fish Stick".
robguitar Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Spiders with those long pointy legs make me uncomfortable but I'll tell you what I really hate --- crabs. Those things make my skin crawl. I've had a childhood fear of those and I've never gotten over it. Anything that walks sideways and pinches is just not right with me. I hate the way they scurry, stop, then scurry some more. They are stealthy. I do not like them moving around the perimiter of my beach "area" either. My wife and kids think it is funny. I do not. They are not nice. Now in my own defense, it's not like I scream and run away. I usually go in another direction or thow something at it (sorry guys). It's hard living in Louisiana where seafood (especially crabs, shrimp, and crawfish) is eaten all the time. My friends do a lot of crawfish boils and gumbo, especially when LSU has home games, but in those cases I roll with a burger or some chicken. Crabs=bad.

I bought them from a bait store. I guess when it's your time to go, you gonna' go.
let_go_let_God Posted August 20, 2005 Author Posted August 20, 2005 Well an update on the spider that was living around my computer is no more. My mom killed it yesterday when it scared me to the point of me yelling in suprise (not a scream). God bless- LGLG

I swear they look like GIGANTIC SPIDERS. There's a display full of them at the Shedd Aquarium. I'd show you a photo, but without something to scale it's hard to appreciate. Even I (normally only afraid of imaginary things) was a bit disturbed by them.
