Texas Pride

Ok, I've got a confession to make.

I like Texas, but not as much as I like Louisiana. (I've got family from Houston + Dallas.)

We've got WAY better food than Texas.
I'd take Cajun or Creole before Tex-Mex any day.

Jambalaya
Gumbo
Gumbolaya
Po-Boys
Crawfish/Shrimp Etoufee
Crawfish/Shrimp Creole
Boiled Crawfish
Muffaletas
Begneits
Pralines
etc...

it's not you, it's just that most of the time here people are "texas blah blah blah" and "texas is so blah blah blah"

i'm not saying you shouldn't have pride in where you live (or come from). but there's a difference. like the thread we had about name the funny things about your state or whatever it was; that thread was fun. but threads like texas is the only and best state, everyone should live there, etc. i think get old and annoying really fast. i like my state and i like living here , but i don't go around telling everyone it's the best and everyone should live here. i don't think everyone should live here. it's not to everyone's taste. like texas is not to my taste and i wouldn't live there.
