Is anyone here recently ran into an addiction?
An addiction to country music?

It all started a while back, you know you'd turn on (QX104.1FM) the country music station and a good song would come on. And we'd all sing along. First heard of Big & Rich, Cowboy Troy, Gretchen Wilson, the "rock-country".
But then, I got grounded. And I sat in my room late at night and listened to the radio, until finally I was downloading country music. And I listened to the slow, sad songs even. I have a huge playlist on my itunes, filled with JUST country music. And it's all I listen to.
And now, I practically know every song that comes on the radio. It's awesome/pathetic.
So, just wondering if anyone has "gone country" in the last year? Anyone, want to share their experiences?

I've never been much of a country music fan personally. I can tolerate it, but don't prefer it. That's just me. :idontknow: ^_^

Never been a country fan. Too "twangy" (if that makes sense).

i went through a "i hate country" phase and am glad to be done with it. mindy smith was country music's saving grace for me. if you haven't heard "one moment more" go spend 99 cents on it right now. that's an order.

I never liked country music in my life....but about 3 months ago, I randomly turned on the country station, and I haven't turned it off since! My fiance cracks up....it came out of nowhere and now I can't get enough country!

So weird!

I love the MAN IN BLACK!

I used to love country, then much of the current stuff turned into butt wiggling smut, so now I mostly listen to Catholic Rap. Although some times the two go together like lime and coconut.

HUGE ALABAMA FAN

Also a really big Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Mark Chestnut, Randy Travis, Hank Williams, Jr, and Trisha Yearwood fan.

I've not listened to most of his songs. But I LOVE his last recording, American IV: The Man Comes Around. It's so poignant, and he OWNS the songs he covers.

As far as other country ... any interest I might have had in country was killed by the fact that I had to ride the bus to school for six years, hated it, and all the driver would play was country. There are a handful of singers I enjoy, but it's an elite group. By and large, I can't stand it.
