FlyLikeABird Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Fraggle Rock Theme Dance your cares away, Worry's for another day. Let the music play, Down at Fraggle Rock. Work your cares away, Dancing's for another day. Let the Fraggles play, We're Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, Boober, Red. Dance your cares away, Worry's for another day. Let the music play, Down at Fraggle Rock. Ho Ho Ho (What a Funny World It Is) What a funny world it is. The world is full of funniness. We laugh at how much fun it is, As you can see. Every morning when we wake, Our funny bones begin to ache. We count the times we shake and quake, With hee, hee, hee. When somebody goes ah-choo, It makes us think of running shoes, Or else the sum of two plus two, And ho, ho, ho, Ha, ha, ha, Heh, heh, heh, Hee, hee, hee. Did you hear the one about the, Person who went walking out, And then he came back home again, Ha, ha, ha. Stop me if you've heard this one, I met a man who had a son, He also had a daughter too, Hoo, hoo, hoo. When we see the setting sun, It makes us think of eating buns, And of the number thirty-one, And ho, ho, ho, Ha, ha, ha, Heh, heh, heh, Hee, hee, hee. What a funny world it is. The world is full of funniness. We laugh at how much fun it is, As you can see. Every morning when we wake, Our funny bones begin to ache. We count the times we shake and quake, With tee, hee, hee, Heh, heh, heh, Ha, ha, ha, Hoo, hoo, hoo, Ha, ha, ha.
FlyLikeABird Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 Ok everyone, be honest who grew up on Fraggles? I know I did. They were my FAVOURITE, even more than Care Bears or anything. Good ol' Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, Boober, Red and of course the Dozers.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I wish I could remember more of these things... but I cannot...
FlyLikeABird Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 I grew up in the mid-eighties. That's when the Fraggles were on air originally. Unless you're a twenty-something you probably won't remember them much, if at all. :

zabbazooey Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I never watched fraggle rock. I liked care bears, pound puppies, my little pony and smurfs.

Era Might Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 (edited) I remember Fraggle Rock vaguely.
those were real cartoons.. unikw the soft carp they show now
Did you ever watch "Captain Planet" in the early '90s? There's nothing like environmental propaganda for the youth.
Captain Planet He's my hero Gonna take pollution Down to zero
It was a good cartoon nonetheless. I used to watch a a lot of shows before school every morning. Captain Planet, Dennis the Menace, Garfield, Bobby's World, X-Men, some other show where the sister was supposed to be a robot (the name escapes me), etc. TV rots your brain. p-hawk Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Because of a recent Fraggle Rock thread, I pulled out some old episodes we had taped in 1989(!). I was six at the time. I was happily reminiscing along until I saw the third one, in which Mokey and Red move into a new cave together. They're going to be roommates! And how can a contemplative like Mokey live with ADHD Red? Why, oh why did Mokey have to practice transcendental meditation? I had to stop watching. She was praying to the spirit of the cave that they were moving into, among other things. Totally ruined my childhood memories for me. I mean, I knew Jim Henson and friends were hippies, but dang...
Funky_R Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 I am probably the youngest person I've ever known that actually has watched Fraggle Rock (If you can find anyone younger, I challenge you to look for anyone under 16 who hasn't seen just the dvds). I hear they're putting a Season One dvd out actually. It's was cool.
