zabbazooey Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 REALLY?!?!?! Sweetness. No soda on Friday. I love soda, but I just can't not eat meat. Fish makes me nauseous!

homeschoolmom Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 I'm so sick of fast food right now. (and if you knew me, you'd know that this was serious as I am a fast food junkie...) Too much McDonald's, Subway, Arby's etc...
FutureSoror Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Hey the fish sandwich isn't that bad once in a while! The other chains have better ones, but I don't mind it when someone else deciedes to land us there once in a while.
heavenseeker Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I quit eating at McDonalds any more than I absoutly have to 8 years ago.
cmotherofpirl Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005
its required just not in the US but its highly recommended and its been tradition for a very long time if you don't do it your supposed to do some other uspecified penance. sam
Last I checked you could give up meat on Friday OR do another penance during the week. I think we should go back to the no-meat rule.
voiciblanche Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Fruit and Walnut Salad. Duh. Expensive, yet delicious.
Guest lilfrenchie112 Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I've worked at Wendy's for over two years, and so I've had fastfood there on an almost daily basis. About a month ago I went to a McD's and I barely could stomach it. Something is wrong there if someone who is as accustomed to fried foods as I am cant stomach a couple of nuggets
RC_ Posted August 29, 2005 Author Posted August 29, 2005 I haven't eaten a meal with meat in it on Friday since I was 12. Occasionally I did accidently eat a piece of jerky, forgetting that it was Friday.

Your post sounded funny at first, but then I realized that you ate there on FRIDAY with some non-Catholics. Forgive me! Edited August 29, 2005 by God's Errand Girl

Paladin D Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Burger King feels cleaner and the food tastes better, though I don't eat there often. I'd pick fries, McDonalds has some great fries.
FlyLikeABird Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 for "fast food" I prefer either Chinese/Japanese buffet style/food court or something that's not precooked, like Pizza.
RC_ Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me.
AlterDominicus Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 (edited) None of the above, I goe a couple boxes of four piece chicken tenders for 99 cents each, believe me thats a lot better then a burger or a fry. Edited September 3, 2005 by AlterDominicus
