Vatican Ninja Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 (edited) Karin has been staying in a convent in Lockesport Louisiana for about three months. The Convent she's at is at the highest place in the area but her mom can't get in contact with her. Once it got over a category 3 storm, she couldn't reach them. Prayers please. dUSt Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 What happened to your French accent Vatican Ninja?

IcePrincessKRS Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 (edited) Not directly from Karin, but this was posted on someone's Xanga.
The Dominican nuns in Lockport anre well!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are alright, their Monastery lost a few shingles, but they have already been put back together. Its all good! Hehe, I'm glad that they're alright! Lol, it was quite a worry! But, still prayers for absolutely everyone involved!
Edited September 1, 2005 by IcePrincessKRS
benedictaj Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 (edited) Yeah folks! Looks like that they are all well! (Sorry I didn't see this post earlier! We've had a prayer and news thread about her and her sisters-to-be in the vocation station!) Apparently, she called her mum to let her know they are alright. Only a few shingles missing off the roof luckily!!!! The Monastery of the Heart of Jesus is safe, and so are the nuns and their postulant, Sr Marjorie (chorusgirl) They had not evacuated though, because the Monastery is on higher ground than most areas near them. Love and prayers in Christ! Edited September 2, 2005 by memtherose
