Anastasia13 Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 (edited) What technically is the Catholic view of Protestants? And why? Edited September 3, 2005 by Light and Truth
Pio Nono Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 JMJ 9/3 - St. Gregory the Great Light and Truth, Good question. Vatican II tells us that Protestants are our brothers and sisters in Christ through Christian baptism. However, they are not in full communion with Christ's Church as they hold beliefs separate or contrary to our own, and thus are "separated". That's why we call them our "separated bretheren." I hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
