I've RPGed Harry Potter sites, Lord of the Rings, Medeval sites and many more. This is of course before my WHOLE Christian life came in. Which was only last year. I still RP, just not often.

Roleplaying is not done through video games or board games. Shame on anyone who says otherwise. (And I happen to like computer, console, and board "RPG"s. They are not, however, actual roleplaying.) I have played Dungeons & Dragons since 1st edition (even before 1st edition). I have played GURPS, Werewolf, Vampire, Ghoul, Battletech, Iron Heroes, Arcana Unearthed, d20 Modern, BESM, Rokugan, Legend of the 5 Rings, and many more. I have roleplayed on message boards, both system and freeform. I have co-founded an ecumenical Christian roleplaying website. I have two Catholic D&D campaign worlds and one Catholic Iron Heroes campaign world. I am a Christian today because of D&D. I am a Catholic today because of D&D. A number of Baptists hate that I say that. My thoughts are disjointed. Oh well.

But i like RPG's (the ones ive played). I was on a website called Landover Baptist a while back and they were bashing warcraft because the creators are christian (according to the webstie). There have been threads on RPG's before......some think they are evil.......i dont know........i just like playing warcraft.........becasue its a good strategy game.

Duc_In_Altum Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Gee whiz! Glad i got over that stage! I was a Final Fantasy 7,8,and 9 NUT! I estimate i played a single game of final fantasy 7 for over 300 hours (the counter only goes to 99:99). And i played it over and over and over. That game freakin ruled me for a long time. 8 and 9 : not so much. but even those i spent rediculous amounts of time on. What a waste! As much as i like the games, i just got way too hooked. I dont play them anymore. Now I cant imagine wasting so much darn time on something so darn pointless. Every minute wasted playing those games is a minute i could've spent growing closer to God. I have a long time ago made a religious life, priesthood based RPG that took place around World War II until a Hijacker jacked it. I would love to be of any help to make this dream a reality. ~AlterDominicus
