kateri05 Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 (edited) is the curtain closed and opened more than twice a day? because it if is, then according to Eucharistiae Sacramentum, you may not have adoration at your church in this way. Edited September 6, 2005 by kateri05
theculturewarrior Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 There's one in Corpus Christi that way, but they still have a code on the door, because it is a Sacred place to be.
CatholicCid Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 (edited) One chapel by me requires you to be buzzed in by someone in the building... I say we just station a Knight of Columbus by each Tabernacle and not worry... Who'd want to risk getting stabbed Edited September 7, 2005 by CatholicCid
stargirl3:16 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 If it's in a perpetual adoration chapel, they could just bolt down the monstrance, if that's possible.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005
Our PEA chapel has a code on the door
That is one very excellent answer... I wish that Churches that lock their doors at night could at least have a keypad and a code avaliable for parishnors who like late night visits with Jesus... It is such a simple thing, but it works

morostheos Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I know there is a parish in the Diocese of Cleveland that has a setup like this. The back of the tabernacle is glass/plexiglass with a door over it that adorers can open and close in a separate chapel behind the altar. Just because it's been done doesn't mean it should be though.......
dUSt Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 Well, I think having the curtains eliminates the process of placing Jesus back inside the tabernacle more than twice a day--but it doesn't solve the problem of having an adorer always present.
Theoketos Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 In our Parish the way Adoration is done is as follows: We open the tabernacle and there is a small monstrance inside. At the end of the day the tabernacle is locked up. Then that key is locked up and the church is locked up.

Theoketos Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 As long as the host is exposed/door of the tabernacle open, yes, yes they are.
