AlterDominicus Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Those like me...who study, who write, who predict, who seek out proof, who, want answers. And those like me...may now have that answer. The End of Days formally known as Revelation, the last book in the Bible, may be near. I and others are not sure, but the scientists seem to be. Today I found out that there will be another Hurricane off the coast of Florida dated until the end of November, and I also found out that there will or (might) Be a fault in San Fransisco. What do I mean by a fault? SPLIT, CRACK, BROKEN. The next earthquake <(Shake) Will not only be destructive like all earthquakes are, it will literally fault San Fransisco and the city will be lost to the ocean, litterally torn apart from Califorinia. What can man do [if this happens? Nothing....nothing, but pray, because what you want to work for, may not be here in the next few years. Myself and a few others who have studied Revelation (actually I am reading it again) We have come to believe (in some shape or form) That Revelation will hit in 2007. I pray that we are wrong. I will be attending a whole Revelation talks at our Community Center in Andover Minnesota. From how close we are, Armagededdon to Revelation as a good thng to the most amazing prophecy to the Anti-Christ. Thank you.
toledo_jesus Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 who cares when the end of the world comes? just live everyday like tomorrow is the end of the world, and you'll be golden.
son_of_angels Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 The end of the world is near. Christ said it was. period

MC IMaGiNaZUN Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Revelation. Sometimes protestants accuse us catholics of falling into superstition with statues and rosaries. Maybe some catholics do. But i think that Protestants have another area to be tempted into superstition. And that is the bible and the end of the world. You won't believe then lengths they go to prove that Jesus will return... And sometimes Catholics might fall into this, especially with the mixture of Medjegorje and other apparitions. I don't know that Jesus is coming back right now, or tomorrow, or if i will ever experience such a thing in my earthly life. What i do know, is that as someone called by Christ, i must continue to sanctify the world through my prayers and actions. That would be to prepare the world, to be presented to Christ. It is wonderful that we anticipate with joyful hope the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that we desire for him to establish his Kingdom. But what is dangerous, is that we hate the world, and want Jesus to swipe vengence upon it. Rather we must transform the world with our love, and leave the rest to Jesus. If obsessing over this keeps us from that, then it is bad. SHALOM
Nathan Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 (edited) I would agree. Many Protestants seem to have an unhealthy fixation with the Rapture. Indeed, for too many, it is seemingly the central focus of their faith. It's a pit, a trap, and it saddens me when I see it. We should not spend too much time dwelling on these things; what we should be concerned with is life, right now. "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day." (Matthew 6:34) Edited September 7, 2005 by Nathan
zabbazooey Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Stop worrying about tomorrow. I have enough things to worry about today!
AlterDominicus Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 I feel the same way, but sometimes you cant leave it alone, and you must dive. I love to study...study is my nickname (DONT tell Sister Joseph Andrew that!!!! Haha. She'll love to put me to studying.)
matt_in_ohio Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 There is a quote in my Bible in the introduction to the book of Revelation that I find some comfort in:
Every generation has thought that thiers was going to be the last
Like others here have said, I can't predict when the end will come. Jesus himself said in several places that even HE doesn't know - only the Father. So the end might come tomorrow. It might come in 2007. I might live another seventy years and not see it. But, again like others here have said, live like there won't be a tomorrow. By that I think they mean live so that your life will be right with God, and you need not worry if tomorrow is the end of the world or just the end of the world for you! IMHO - Trust in your salvation, live according to HIS will, and you need not fear anything
cmotherofpirl Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 The endtimes are suspended until the fullness of the gentiles and jews have entered the church, and the gospel has been preached to every nation. That isn't happening anytime soon Please don't get caught up in endtime silliness.

popestpiusx Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 The end of the world comes for each one of us when we die. It is our death that we must prepare for. How that happens, whether by some worldwide cataclysmic event, martyrdom, a car wreck, or just slipping off in our sleep, is not important and is only known by God. He will come like thief in the night. Every day we must ask "Am I ready?"
track2004 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Apple came out with a 4 button mouse. Of course the end of the world is soon....
