crusader1234 Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 Well, considering Karol is largely responsible for the fact that there IS a Poland to this day, I'd say him. I wouldn't say he's the most important out of the three neccesarily, in general, but from a 'Polish' standpoint, he's number one.
Maria Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Well, you know, there are tons of amazing Poles from other centuries. Not that I really know anything about them, but I'm sure JPII would insist on having some of the other ones on the poll.

I could've included Henrik Sienkewicz who is a great Polish author, but only a few people know him.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Totally an unfair poll... But if you are going on societal importance, Karol might be on top, but if we go by spiritual importance, you cannot choose!
phatcatholic Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 so yea, i was gonna be funny and be like "JPII is the most important Pole!!" b/c i thought the title was a spelling mistake and this was gonna be about something random like "what's ur favorite sandwhich" and then come to found out its actually about Poles!!!
Pio Nono Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 JMJ 9/11 - Twenty-fourth Sunday : What about St. John Cantius? Or King Sobieski?
let_go_let_God Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 This Poll on Poles was uber hard. I had to confir with my roomate. Should a poll on Poles really cause this much anxiety? God bless- LGLG
Era Might Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 (edited) What the heck, how come Righteous B didn't make the pole poll? Edited September 11, 2005 by Era Might
