You have a young brain. You have very little excuse (though I will grant you humitity-- that's mind draining)... Wait until you're old and you stare at one of your children and can't remember his name.... (which would be one thing if you had ten or twelve, but if you only have three, it's kind of frustrating)....

What surprises me is that anyone would want to take the name Murphy. I mean...we're notorious...all the stories about Mrs. Murphy draggin' her drunkard husband home from the pub or making a giant pot of stew...becoming a Mrs. Murphy is just askin' for it. Probably why my mom refused the name and picked another name, neither my dad's nor her maiden name, to use. ...but when I fill out forms, I always write her down as Mrs. Murphy...hehehe...
Sojourner Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 My mother can't remember our names either. I'm sure I'll have the same promise. Of course, when they DO remember your name, then you know you're really in trouble ... "Abigail Lynn Johnson, get yourself in here!!" Haven't heard that in a while, thankfully.
homeschoolmom Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 My seventh grade Spanish teacher was a Mrs. Murphy... well, Sra. Murphy...
