That's soccer, in its essence. :ninja:

The object is to kick a ROUND ball (all REAL sports use a ROUND ball) through a RECTANGULAR NET(if the sport in question doesn't use a ROUND ball, the NET should at least be RECTANGULAR, if a sport uses neither a ROUND ball nor a RECTANGULAR net, then it isn't a sport at all.)

The best way to learn about the best sport is to watch it.

How about javelin throwing?

Or Cross-country racing?

Or bicycling?

That is one way to describe it. Now, what is the difference between soccer cleets and football cleets? Does it matter which you wear?

Umm, yeah but occasion to watch live sports which are more interesting are scarcer without much more sacrifice and we also sell golf stuff.

I think it does, but I don't know the difference. It doesn't really matter what kind of shoes I wear when I exercise/play sports. :P:

[quote name='Light and Truth' date='Sep 13 2005, 10:15 PM']I work at a sporting goods store and don't know much about sports.  I never grew up around sports or was exposed to much.

Things I am particularly interested in:

-How the game is played

-Equipment and what is important in the equipment

-When the game is played

-Whatever else is deemed worthy of my knowing by those more knowledgeable than myself.

soccer is actually a pretty simple game except for the offside rule, it took me a while to understand that when I first started watching devotedly...

I can thank Italian League Matches on FSN back in the day for that
