That's REALLY cool. We are doing the play Dead Man Walking at my college this year for the fall play. I think I'm stage manager. That'd be really cool to meet her.

Question: Why did you meet her? I mean, what were you doing...? Am I making any sense?

Does she accept the Church's teaching on abortion? :nocomment:

Yes, she does accept the Church's teaching on abortion. She did sound slightly questionable on stem cell research though...

But she had come to my college for the annual Cardinal Bernardin Lecture. I met with her before the lecture for Q & A's and then after that I was invited to the dinner with her, but not all sitting at the same table (Good food though :) ) And then I went to the lecture. The campus Catholic Co-Chaplain told Sister about me before we met... and we didn't talk much, they had a busy schedule for her.

So, yeah... hope that explains things... :)

That sounds about right, in FACT, my friend Laura had him last year and said he was quite absentminded...

I knew that name sounded familiar! That's pretty cool though! Where did you go to school if you don't mind me asking...

Cool?
"I think for us to really answer the abortion question so that women don't have them, we really have to look seriously at the whole thing of birth control, family planning and not having unwanted pregnancies," Prejean said in contradiction to Catholic teaching.  Prejean also lamented that "women aren't getting a fair shake in the Church today" because they can't announce the Gospel or give a homily at Mass, tasks reserved for priests.  "When you have a theology that says men only can represent Christ, we have something seriously wrong," Prejean said, appearing to question the male priesthood.
Not so much.

One should excercise a good amount of caution anytime one encounters a nun that looks like this:

She looks more like a grandma than a nun.

Yup. I'm sure she's a sweet (but badly mistaken) lady.
