theculturewarrior Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Today one of my coworkers asked me what I did on my break. I told him, "I prayed." I know this will not come with an increase of prestige, but I wonder if I am blowing the proverbial trumpet before me. He asked me what I did earlier in the day, and I said, "I prayed." I like to pray out loud, when I am alone, and I wonder if it is hypocritical to pray out loud in public. It comes with no increase in prestige. I have to walk through a seedy downtown district on the way to work, and I would like to pray my rosary on the way. If I pray out loud, it says, "Beware my Mother!"
Pio Nono Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 JMJ 9/15 - Our Lady of Sorrows theculturewarrior, No, it's not hypocritical. So long as you're not doing it for praise or to annoy others, then you're fine. Hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
