What would you like your last words to be?

What are going to be your last words to the world? I hope that I have the grace to go out as Matty Molnar did.

Here is his blog:
Read something from some one no longer living. He speaks to us still, because his last words to the world are noble.

For sure read the comments.

I recomend at least the two most recent entries.

He really affected a ton of people.

Also consider what he said here:

you are looking for details on why bad things happen - why the "good dye young", i can't help you. I am here to say, "I'm with you, though" and I am becoming a Priest as a witness to this..... God loves you..... and the bad things that are happening to you don't discount His great impeding love and providence for you.

- Matty Molnar (August 28, 2005)

And then there is Jared, who is in a coma and will not recover most likely. The last thing recorded that he written was this:

I think God chooses a few to support the rest, and it is a mystery to me how the whole prayer thing works, all that i know is that it does. I would be NOWHERE if people hadn't prayed for me. I know that the sacrifices my friends and family make for me are all that sustains me sometimes, especially when prayer is difficult."

- Jared Cheek

Please pray for these fellows, and live your life for Christ as they did!

A friend of mine always wanted to compile last words of saints. The only two I can think of are:

I am nothing but a worm.
St. John Bosco

And then St. Lawrence said something like "Flip me over, I'm done on this side."

There's so many other good ones.
Does anyone know any others?

By the way, the above words are from two really good friends (seminarians from Mundaline) who have died (or are dying soon) recently. They have been mentioned in two previous threads, but I got premission to use their names today.

Please pray for Jared. He most likely will not live.

May perpetual light shine upon Matty's soul!

It's amazing... the universality of the Catholic Church. It truly exists.

That we could communicate on a broad scale through such an easy means like the internet... that we can keep in contact with people whom we've never met, but with whom we share the same faith in Christ and His Church. We can be a city on an electronic hill... praising God and radiating the light of Christ through our comments on the internet...

Wow.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine him.
May his soul, and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

According to his private secretary, Blessed John XXIII's last words were "Ut Unum Sint":
My time on earth has drawn to an end, but Christ lives and the church continues its work in time and space. Ut unum sint
Matty is dead?

I'd like my last words to be, "Domine, non sum dignus ut intres sub tectum meum, sed tantum dic verbo, et sanabitur anima mea."

In other words, "Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed."

Either "I love you" or "Father forgive" then maybe something else. Or something like that.

If I could choose my last words, they would be from my favorite verse in the Bible, Revelation 21:4:
The former things have passed away.
'Don't worry, I'm not dead.'

"The Force will be with you, always."

"Deliever me O Lord, let me pass through death without fear, let me see You, when you say, Glory Be to You Always."

It'd be something like this.

I would like my last words to be "Do not cry because I will soon be dead. Instead rejoice for I am going to a better place."
or something like that anyways.

I'd say, Trust but Verify! Trust everyone but always verify what they say.

I don't know about my last words, but with the PCPA's you have a Scripture verse on your tombstone, and I would want it to be the verse in my signature.

Posted

"Father, into your hands I commend my spirit."

I've always liked Mozart's (I think) last words:

"Laugh friends, the comedy is over."

but I think mine would be:

Thank God. It's Finished."
