theculturewarrior Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 Life is a preparation for death. (That's a phatmasser's motto). I have been preparing myself. Last time a hurricane came through our area, it blew south, and a lot of us are wondering if this one will blow south. I want to tell my coworkers that God surrounds his people the way the mountains surround Jerusalem. (I'm taking baby steps with them, though. All I can do right now is pray). The worst that could happen to me is that I might end up in Heaven sooner than expected. All of my belongings are God's anyway. If the hurricane does blow south, and the area is evacuated, there will be a lot of people unprepared. I won't take chances if the forecast changes. I'm still planning on going to confession on Saturday, though.
theculturewarrior Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 Valley water is better than ipecac syrup.
theculturewarrior Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 I got a haircut. Everyone I know says, "Oh, you got a haircut. " They don't say I look nice, just that I got a haircut. : I'm clothed like the flowers of the field.
philothea Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Oh no! I hope the cat is found. I'm sure your haircut looks fine, TCW... when you look bad people generally don't mention things at all. In other random news I just bought a notebook with two cartoony stylized cats on the cover, and we're painting the bathroom.

I'm as bald as a smiley. : (well, not quite, but enough that I have to shave it that bald to look decent.) (which reminds me, we need a :combover: smiley)

theculturewarrior Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 I thought about drinking tap water as a form of mortification. I don't think I'm strong enough, though.

It originally came from the Rio Grande (a river we share with Mexico. ) We started running out of that, though, so now it comes from Sewage Reclamation Centers.

theculturewarrior Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 It's okay. She can reply to my posts if she wants to. (This will still be a random thought thread).
philothea Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Uh oh... looks like we're starting to develop a structure here!
theculturewarrior Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 When it gets to page 19, it will be a completely different (random) topic.
theculturewarrior Posted September 26, 2005 Author Posted September 26, 2005 I like food. Food tastes good.

Seriously.
Urban legend. Go watch Myth Busters sometime. Their science often smells of elderberries pretty hard, but they do some interesting experiements. They covered this one & they tried really hard to get the stomach to explode w/ pop rocks & couldn't.

It paralyzes the facial muscles, making people appear less wrinkly, but devoid of emotions. I think it's the first real step humanity has made towards creating our own zombie army. Woohoo!
