Update

hey guys i just wanted to thank ya'll so much for the prayers and the encouragement. i also just wanted to give ya'll an update on how things are going.

i start RCIA classes this sunday and i'm really excited. i've gotten to talk to some of my friends and most of them have been really encouraging about it. i also got to talk to my brother and he helped me out alot just by telling me that he trusts that i'm seeking God in this. i was really worried that people would just assume that i was stepping out of God's will b/c i was stepping out of the Protestant church.

this hardest part isn't over yet...i still have to talk to my mom. i've tried numerous times, but she really doesn't want to hear it. its just going to be a difficult process with her. i just have to keep remembering a verse in Galatians. "Am I trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ."

thank ya'll so much for just being here. please pray that God will soften my mom's heart and give me the words to speak to her.

Wow...you definitely have my prayers! I'm so hesitant to talk to my parents about all of this also, so I definitely feel your pain. I pray that God will give you the strength you need to do it. God bless you on your path to the Church!
