I am waiting on a phone call.

I was going to put this in the prayer room but I need my PHAMILY'S help with this one. Prayers, hugs, warm fuzzies, cookie recipes, whatever you've got.

I am waiting on a phone call from my friend Diane. Three weeks ago her aunt went for a walk and hasn't been seen since. Yesterday the family was called by the police a body has been found five miles from her aunt's home. The body is so badly decomposed that she has to go in today and try to identify it. I am waiting to hear from her.

Also one of Diane's brothers died this past Friday and the funeral is supposed to be Wednesday. I was with the family on Saturday, they are numb. Guys I can't even imagine the feelings. While I was there I cried alot (I knew her brother) and I hugged alot. Mostly I just sat and listened.

And today they have to try to make an ID.

I would like to tell Diane that there are people out there praying for the family. Whatever you share with me I will share with her.
THANKS

Thank you for the prayers. I did speak to Diane tonight but WOULD YOU BELIEVE I forgot to ask about how the ID went. All we talked about was the funeral tomorrow. I didn't realize until I hung up that I forgot to ask.

She is spending the night tomorrow so we will talk about it then.

She asked me to thank you for the prayers the family really needs them.

I'll be back tomorrow night to update you on how the ID went. Or even if it went. I am not sure but it may have been put off today because of last minute funeral details. :idontknow:

thanks PHAMILY.... :blowkiss:

I am not sure what is going on Diane never came by last night.
I spoke to her twice she didn't come by. So I have no idea what is going on. She lives with family and getting messages to her is difficult.

I am sure I will hear from her but :idontknow: when.

I am going to let this thread run out. I appreciate the prayers and support.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY. THANKS PHAM.

prayers for you guys!! Here's my favorite cookie recipe. it's for a kind of cookie called a whirligig... if you like peanut butter and chocolate then it's very tasty!

Here it is:

1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
6 oz chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream shortening, both sugars and peanut butter.
Add egg; beat until light and fluffy.
Sift flour with soda and salt.
Add to egg mixture and blend well.
Roll dough into oblong shape 1/4 inch thick.
Melt chocolate bits over boiling water.
Spread onto rolled dough.
Roll up like jelly roll and chill.
Slice 1/4 inch thick.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes.

THANK YOU AND THANK EVERYONE FOR THE PRAYERS.

I just got off the phone with Diane, and that noise you hear....whoo whoo chugga chugga....is the STUPID train leaving the station.

I have Diane's permission to use names. Her aunt's name was Duke at least that was what everyone called her. Well it seems, that "the family" feels that Dukes' sister should pay for the funeral. Not a problem but for the little fact that Duke's sister just spent what she had two weeks ago burying her son James (Diane's brother). And she lives on a fixed income. Of course the people in the family that have money don't want to spend it.

DUMB, STUPID, DUMB, STUPID.....Where do these people come from and would they please go back.

Anyway this is the end of this thread. Diane knows about the prayers and she wanted me to say thank you.
THANK YOU.....AND I LOVE YOU.
Okay...over and out.
