Aloysius Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 this priest sounds cool. whatever happened to corporeal mortification?? it's not like he beat them with a whip or something... this was a very light and minor corporeal mortification, a pin-prick! corporeal mortifications are good edifying practices that bring us closer to Christ. these parents are sissified modernist americans who have forgotten what Catholocism really means and just want their kids to hear some message and sing a few songs.

Besides, the risk for blood-based diseases is horrible...
