sarah Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 thanks for all the prayers everyone my parents rode out the storm in lake charles, la (my hometown) and are safe. our house is 10-15 min south of town on big lake so we know it's badly flooded, but they aren't able to get down there and actually see any of it...
StColette Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Checking in We just got power back about 30 mins ago. I'm not sure that many of you knew I live in Shreveport, LA. and well the hurricane decided it would take a trip on up this way. We had some really high winds, areas have a little flooding, lots of down trees and limbs, lots of power loss. We went to move my truck yesterday and it got stuck in the front yard, because of all the rain and mud. We had some limbs flying with such force that they stuck into the ground like spikes. We now have a leak in the roof. But like I said it could have been a whole lot worse. All my family is safe. The whole group of Houston family members rode out the storm there and they are all perfectly safe God Bless, Jen
