A piece of thread is rolled back and forth over your eyebrows and somehow it catches the hair and pulls it out from the root. It takes a bit longer than waxing and hurts more but like Hughey said, less abrasive on yor skin.

Sojourner Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I've tried threading. It's cheaper than waxing, and I'd say the pain factor is about the same. It's just ... a little weird, the way they do it. I get my eyebrows done from time to time, but not often. They're not too bad if I dont get them done, so I usually do it only for special occasions.

It wasn't that bad, but the swelling afterwards was pretty annoying... Here's what my brows look like without anything done to them: [img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v359/LausTibiChriste/HMMMM.jpg[/img] I also ran into a table full-speed as a kid so I have a small scar in one of my brows and my hair kinda grows in different directions at the thickest part which makes them hard to groom anyways... You can kinda see it in the picture...

If my mom keeps paying... I'll keep getting mine waxed (for shape)... I have crazy brows otherwise.
