franciscanheart Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 So I'm the type of person who generally grabs up the sales when the new season of clothes is put out. I never understood buying winter clothes in the summer, spring in the winter, summer in the spring. I find great deals and the clothes are practical for at least four to five months! So I'm wondering - what kind of shopper are you?
shelly_freak Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I'm mixed. I love sales and definatly head for that but if I see like a cute shirt or something I'll buy it even if it's not on sale. I also make some of my clothes or buy plain $2 shirts and stencil them.
Noel's angel Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I just buy them if I want them and think I'm actually going to wear them.

Carrie Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I love sales. I'll spend just as much but get twice as many clothes.
Sojourner Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Sales. Although occasionally I'll see something I love and buy it when it's just out.
philothea Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 At one time, I've done all of these. Right now I'm in the replace if it has holes (or is otherwise unwearable) stage, because I am shrinking. :

jasJis Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Girls are weird. I buy clothes after my wife has nagged me for 2 months and only if they are on sale. I refuse to pay full price, no matter what it looks like. If it isn't 20% off, it ain't ever gonna be mine. By the way. There's 'seasonal' clothes? I thought you either wear a jacket or you don't.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I think I am going to start painting t-shirts... just doing whatever with 'em...
Maria Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 "I just buy them if I want them and think I'm actually going to wear them. " Me too. And if I need it. But usually it's second hand, and I've made some of my stuff, including a formal dress, so that I'd have one that's modest. I'll rarely buy something if it's full price.
shelly_freak Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Do it Ang! It's the most fun ever. Use acrylic and textile medium cause it's cheaper.

shelly_freak Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I like seeing clothes in the stores and then like a year or two down the line finding them at the thrift store. There was this dress I was in love with freshman year but it was in a magazine and like $40 so I decided I'd just cut out the pic and put it in my room (no joke). Well a few months ago I was at Goodwill and found my dress, in my size, fits me perfectly, AND it was $8. Now that's what I call a good find. Granted I don't have anything to wear it to (actually I might end up wearing it to the local high school prom but that's still kinda iffy) but it's still amazing.
