melporcristo Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 : i totally can't wait; I'm reading the book as I write ... well not really, but in the process of reading it.
White Knight Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Ive seen the trailer, this movie will probally be one of the largest grossing movies of the year.
Sojourner Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 I'm so excited I can hardly wait. I must've read these books 20 times when I was a kid, and a few times since I've been an adult. The trailers look amazing ... when I've seen them in theaters I'm immediately less excited about whatever movie I've come to see.
homeschoolmom Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 I can't wait either. I'm going to have to preview them first because it could be a little dark for my kids. We have the BBC version of LWW, PC/VDT, and SC and my kids LOVE them. We came to the end of watching The Silver Chair and HSson cried and cried because that was the last of the movies. It was like he was never going to have any more adventures with his beloved friends. I told him there were three more books, but I don't think that helped much. He's eager, yet apprehensive, to see the new movie. I had to convince him that he wouldn't be betraying his BBC version "friends" if he also enjoyed the new version. Like seeing two different paintings of Christ and loving both.

The BBC version is endearing, no doubt about it. It's got horrible graphic effects, but it's so true to the books that you can't help but love it. And the actors they picked are great. I'm really hoping they do all 7 books of the Chronicles ... although I must confess that I'm a little apprehensive about it as well ... because I love the books SO MUCH I'm going to be way, way upset if they stray far from them. This is making we want to read them again ...
sarcasmguy126 Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 geez...Narnia.com won't work on my computer anyone know when the final trailer comes out?
jmjtina Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 this movie is going to be uber awesome. but I'll miss my LOTR's. there is a hole in my that will never be replaced. but oh yeah!!!! Narnia!!!!!
sarcasmguy126 Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 yea...i agree they should make a movie "The Hobbit"
