I was hit with a squirell today

So I'm walking across the campus and this huge grey thing falls from the library roof and hits my leg. I look in the direction it came from to see who threw whatever it was at me...no one. Then I see this squirell running up a tree. They're huge here (and seem to be on the vicous side).

One of my neighbors had a baby squirrel hiding under her car one morning. When she went out to put her kid in the car, it crawled onto her foot. She apparently handled it calmly. I would have been freaking out. I'm not a fan of random animals climbing on me.

I am not sure what instills hatred of squirrels in people. Maybe the squirrels are just too COOL and people are jealous of them?
