Corapi, SOLT <thats actually kind of funny> had a talk about spiritual warfare where he was discussing blessed salt. its a sacramental like holy water. when the priest blesses it he prays a prayer of exorcism over it.. so the exorcism is attached to the salt wherever it may be sprinkled and keeps evil away. it occured to me that if we are the salt of the world, then we are exorcisms in the middle of the world, wherever we go, wherever we are!!! so we want to retain our flavor and abide in Christ!!! also along those lines.. you could get Marian devotion in there by giving an image of salt in Mary's hands scatterin the darkness. we are salt in Her Immaculate hands. edit: Here is a great article that i think youll find to be very hrelpful [url="http://claretiantapeministry.org/teachings/SALT.html"]http://claretiantapeministry.org/teachings/SALT.html[/url] Edited October 6, 2005 by Seven77
Maria Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Mission Possible is obviously about the Christian mission -- being Church. Somehow the title sounds like something a friend of mine would call a talk. We had a retreat this past summer, and she gave people the names of talks and then let them do whatever they wanted. One of the talks was called The love triangle, given by a couple -- the necessity of having God in there, one of them was called The mass, heaven on earth, one was called It's just not fair, following God when it hurts, and one of them may actually have been Mission possible. So the Salt of the Earth idea is good, but the Mission Possible one will also probably be about being Church.
