Paladin D Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Didn't want to derail the "weight tips" thread, so I decided to make another thread. (Copy and pasted from the previous thread): ====================================================== Hershey, PA is the promise land, I swear. Some places, you're given free chocolate. Example: When we check into the Hershey Lodge, the person behind the counter opens a huge drawer of Hershey bars, and hands us the number of how many are in our group, for free (same applies to the Hotel Hershey). http://www.hersheypa.com/ The Hotel Hershey is a 5-star hotel, very fancy. http://www.hersheypa.com/accommodations/th...shey/index.html Not to mention the Hershey Lodge, which is cheaper and a 4-star. http://www.hersheypa.com/accommodations/he...odge/index.html Don't forget Hershey Park, it's awesome! http://www.hersheypa.com/attractions/in_he...late_world.html And also Chocolate World! http://www.hersheypa.com/attractions/in_he...late_world.html EDIT: My advice to those who plan to go here, spend at least a week or two without eating any candy before you go.
azaelia Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I totally went to Hershey Park when I was little. All I remember is the guy dressed in a giant Hershey bar costume
Sojourner Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 When I was in college, I went over fall break once to Lancaster, Penn. One day we went to Littitz, to Wilbur Chocolate. It was amazing. They had this really fantastic fudge there, Tiger Butter, that I've never been able to replicate, mainly because I can't find a recipe for it. I'm personally not a big fan of Hershey bars unless they're in S'mores. If I'm going to have chocolate, it's going to be good chocolate. I can hold out for the good stuff.

zabbazooey Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Godiva!!!! mmm I love toblerones, anyone else like them???? OOHHH THEY'RE SO GOOD.
Sojourner Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Godiva is really yummy, it's true. I'm a big fan of chocolate and hazelnut together. I make a really yummy chocolate pie flavored with hazelnut, and I almost always add a hazelnut liqueur when I'm baking anything chocolatey -- cookies, brownies, etc. It adds an extra dimension of flavor, and really enhances the chocolate, IMHO. One AWESOME chocolate hazelnut combination is NUTELLA which is like the food of the gods. There are days I eat it out of the bottle with a spoon. (I also occasionally do this with peanut butter).
zabbazooey Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Nutella....mmm Last time I had that was 5 years ago.... mmm

Nutella is delicious when you put them in a homemade crepe. Ohh, I am so hungry now!
Lil Red Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 i can't stand nutella...sorry. peanut butter yes, nutella, no.

Old_Joe Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I once went to a chocolate lovers convention. I had chocolate truffles, chocolate bread, and the zoo had samples of chocolate covered edible insects. they were crunchy.
Old_Joe Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Personally, I like Take 5, Reese's peanut butter bups, Snickers (those are good when they are deep fried), M & M's with peanuts, Hershey's with Almonds, Toblerone, Ferrero Rocher, Skor, Heath, Symphony, and even though I've yet to try it Chocolate Lavacake. I can't have Dark Chocolate cause it gives me migraines. Why isn't this thread pinned? :
jiyoung Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 After the chocolate from Cologne's chocolate factory, I've got this craving for chocolate that I'm having a hard time satisfying. Hershey's just doesn't do it for me anymore.
PadrePioOfPietrelcino Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 when I have some extra time I LOVE to make eclairs with a chocolate cream filling and them top them with more chocolate. MMMMMM I make a dozen at a time, and I'm doing good if they last me two days.
Smile_Jesus_loves_you Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 We went to hershey park every year until i ws about ten. i want to go agian, it is soooo much fun, and the whole place smells of chacolate. I love Chacolate!!
