Lounge Daddy Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005
Move over, Eros. Developers announced plans Friday to open a multimillion dollar sexual "theme park" near London's Piccadilly Circus, home to the much-photographed statue of the Greek god of love. Backers say the London Academy of Sex and Relationships, due to open next spring, will not be a sleazy sex museum, but an educational multimedia attraction that will teach visitors to become better lovers and provide valuable information about disease and sexual problems. Located within the Trocadero entertainment center -- just around the corner from Soho, London's red-light district -- the $8.3 million project will feature unspecified "high tech and interactive exhibits." Benedicite Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 that's sick..... What are the poms coming to!
Laudate_Dominum Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 *throws up* sad... so sad. last time I checked sex was private. seems like the last thing to base a theme part on. Although I remember Michael Eisner (of Disney) mentioning a desire to create "sex-based" theme park attractions during an interview years back. I wonder if he's involved at all?
Paladin D Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Mommy mommy, let's go ride on the Hormonic Rage coaster!

Thy Geekdom Come Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Hmmm...interactive, they say? Any bets on the UN's involvement to help spread STDs?
avemaria40 Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 People say they want to get rid of teen pregnancy and STD's. Then, they do everything to encourage sex. That's like trying to put out a fire by smacking it with wood, it doesnt' work. All it does is give the fire more power.
morostheos Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005
Several cities around the world -- including New York, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Paris -- are home to erotic museums. Typically, they exhibit everything from pornography to high-minded paintings exploring local sexual attitudes and culture.
Sounds like there already is one in America - New York.

ryanmeyersmusic Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005
Didn't God just break the levees around the US sex theme park? heh
Yeah, and on close friends and families. Think before you type hurtful idiotic statements, whether you're trying to be cute and funny or not. Uncool.

photosynthesis Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 we should retaliate and start our own Theology of the Body theme park!!!
Socrates Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005
"Titillation is not the goal," he said. "It's meant to be educational. It's meant to be informative."
Oh, of course not. How very high-minded. Gotta love those Brits and their stiff . . . upper lips. One can only imagine the "rides." Personally I think the park's official mascot should be Austin Powers.
Maria Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 "we should retaliate and start our own Theology of the Body theme park!!! " Great idea! So, who's going to do it?
