daugher-of-Mary Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I had a rather odd conversation the other day with two very dear friends about feminism (and the male priesthood). What made it weird was that I, the female, was defending the male priesthood, while the two gentlemen were railing for gender equality for Holy Orders. Anyway, I'm in need of a convincing argument (from a feminist's point of view) for why women should not be ordained. Sorry! I know it's a weird request! I found the article by Mary Hayden on Godspy (Priesthood and the Masculinity of Christ), but I need something a little more indepth from a pro-male-priesthood feminist.

photosynthesis Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 definitely use phatcatholic's apologetics directory, and also... don't underestimate the value of your testimomy. the fact that you're a woman who likes an all-male priesthood might not prove the point, but it's important.
