I'm a long time Wallace & Gromit fan. It helps when you have in-laws in the UK to turn you on to stuff. I'm anxiously awaiting for the new movie. I'm wondering how many other Americans are familiar with W&G? The creator is the one who did the movie 'Chicken Run', but I think that W&G's short movies are known over here. I've got all 3 movies. I even went to Wensleydale to buy coagulated milk when visiting the UK a few years ago. I think my Wallace & Gromit paraphanalia might even be worth some bucks. I have the 1st edition of their Animator program and a 1989 Gromit flying with the porridge shooter mousepad from the Close Shave movie.

did you hear about the fire at their factory?

Yes I did. It was Ardaman's warehouse where they kept sets and stuff from their other movies, such as Creature Comfort and the other W&G movies. Their on-line store is selling their version1 of the Cracking Animator for 100L (<that's Pounds, Bit money). Albeit, it's signed by Nick Park, mine's got to be worth something?? How did you hear about it? I've got the inside scoop and learned about it on Monday.

I LOVE Wallace and Gromit!

I remember when Nickelodeon used to run bits and pieces of Creature Comforts between the shows back int he late 80s/early 90s. As soon as it came out on dvd, I bought it (a few years back).

I'm a fan of the three Wallace & Gromit episodes (and movie). Saw the film a few days ago, and it's a pretty neat picture, part of the reason I went was just to see the stop-motion animation and model sets.

"You don't like coagulated milk?! Not even Wensleydale?"

A Close Shave was the best ever.

"What's wrong with Wensleydale?" :idontknow:

"Ah, well, it's no use prevaricating about the bush... "

The new movie was very funny. I saw it a day or two after it was released (in America). I own all three of the shorter movies as well and I've thought them funny since I was a kid. The new movie is seriously funny for all ages; the whole thing has parodies of everything running through it, not least of which come from old horror movie filming angles and methods.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be watching for it when I finally see the movie. As a general rule, I don't go to movies, I wait until you can rent it.

"Gromit, were you feeling peckish in the night?"

My son picked up a movie at the library yesterday that he wanted to see. He said, "Hey Mom... Let's get this Wallace and Gromit movie where Wallace is a chicken."

but Chicken Run freaks out my daughter, so we didn't get it...

Bumbing W&G back to the top. Hurricane's coming and the Bucs aren't playing today. Went to Mass last night. I think I'm going to do a W&G marathon today.

The Wrong Trousers was excellent, especially with the penguin.
I still think 'A Close Shave' is an incredibley good film. Good story, excellent development of characters, action, good photography. And Sean the sheep is good. What's funnier, when I was in York, they say Sean and it really sounds like shorn. I didn't get the pun until then.
