Looks

Sometimes personality depending where you want to go with it.

There is more to the looks than just being good looking. For me it's the eyes. You can tell a lot about a girl by her eyes, her morals, her standards, her attitutude, just stuff like that.

I have NEVER just walked up to a girl and just asked her out. I have to be introduced first.

Why? Because I'm a bashful wuss. I lose out obiviously. But at least I have the facade of integrity, misdirectional as it is.

I never asked a girl out, never. (Seriously)

But if I did, it would be a mixture of personality and looks.

it depends on her reaction to me. if i get the impression that she likes my sense of humor and she likes talking to me, i'll ask her out :)

man I'm screwed then!

this guy who I do somewhat like/wouldn't mind going out on a date with was "flirting" with me (so says everyone else) the other day, and (because we were in class) I sort of ignored him, though I did smile a bit.

Never pay attention to what other people say.

For me, we have to click first. I have to start talking to her, sense a mutual attraction, etc.

The problem I have with dating is that it is largely based on looks...you see someone attractive, you ask her out.

I prefer courtship, which refuses to give in to looks but waits to establish friendships...it's easy to establish friendships even with "unattractive" girls...and because friendships allow friends to see one another as they truly are and not just externals, it puts all the women on an equal footing.

For instance, there are some girls I know who are really attractive physically. Others aren't so attractive physically.

However, because I knew that going just by looks can lead to (1) dating the girl who's rude and mean underneath and (2) overlooking the true beauties God has put on this earth who may just not show it.

Therefore, knowing this, I refused to let physical attraction sway me, but instead made friends with a variety of women and let friendships blossom or fail, as our personalities demanded when they either blended or butted heads.

Certain friendships blossomed and showed promise, so it narrowed down a bit. Likewise, the more I saw beauty in the souls of these women, the more I saw beauty in their faces as well.

Finally...you've just got to pick one after discernment and feeling called to a particular woman. Oh...and let her know your intentions from the start, whatever they are...honesty rocks.

So, ladies, I won't tell you what attracts me to women, except those things which also happen to be what attract me to women as friends:

1. Sense of humor (Youth in the Heart)
2. Ability for me to speak candidly without need of feeling embarassed (Openness)
3. Not being inhibited by what other people think (Free Spiritedness)
4. Seeking to serve God and others with moral living (Morality-the counterbalance to free spiritedness)
5. A deeply personal laugh (Jubilance)
6. Loyalty (Fidelity)
7. Patience in suffering (Endurance)
8. Wanting to comfort the afflicted (Consoling)
9. Humility (Humility)
10. Advising (Wisdom)
11. Caring for others (Nurturing)
12. Love of God (Piety)
13. Standing up for what's right (Courage)
14. Fear of the Lord (Awe)
From Jimmy Soul:

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

A pretty woman makes her husband look small
And very often causes his downfall
As soon as he married her and then she starts
To do the things that will break his heart

But if you make an ugly woman your wife
A-you'll be happy for the rest of your life
An ug-a-ly woman cooks meals on time
And she'll always give you peace of mind

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

[Sax solo]

Don't let your friends say you have no taste
Go ahead and marry anyway
Though her face is ugly, her eyes don't match
Take it from me, she's a better catch

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

[Spoken:]
Say man!
Hey baby!
I saw your wife the other day!
Yeah?
Yeah, an' she's ug-leeee!
Yeah, she's ugly, but she sure can cook, baby!
Yeah, alright!

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
By the way, for the record, I plan on doing the cooking with my wife...and having a lot of fun with it, too. :D:

I think I would cry if I was dating someone who liked that song!

Girls don't wanna be Barbies, but they sure as heck don't wanna be ugly!

It's just a funny song, lol...and the tune is really catchy...

I don't think he was being serious.

Mostly when I ask my wife out, I do it because of the consequences. :)
(Read I date now and have always dated for the purpose of self gifting, it just means more in marriage)

She is very beautiful by the way...and the personality of pregnancy is indescribably awesome...so yah looks and presonality.

Personality is definitely tops. Looks are secondary.
