Is it me, or is the one guy in the picture wearing a gas mask?

Is there something I'm missing here? My grandfather was in KofC, but I don't remember anything about gas masks

If people found out that the KofC had a secret stash of actual working lightsabers, every Star Wars geek would convert to Catholicism, and join the KofC just to get one.

I was thinking of joining the Knights a while back, but thought it might be, excuse me, an "old guy's club" where they sit around talking about the old days.

I would certainly like to get the real story. Am I way off base?

Yeah. And even if you aren't, what's wrong about learning about the good old days? Pretty soon, we'll have lost a generation that has lived through wars where the entire country was behind the efforts, the depression, a world without tvs or computers.... heh. Even if your KoC is populated by old fogeys, take advantage of it...
