tojo Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 The last new topic, about daughter-of-Mary's brother enetering RCIA, inspired me. I have many family and friends that I want to convert. I'm sure many of you do too.... It's not very likely to happen without prayer..... So lets pray! How about we take turns posting one name, and when we do we pray for at least one name posted previously. Post only one name, come back later after that person has been prayed for to post another..... Be sure to indicate if the person isn't a Christian, or if they are Protestant, stuff like that. I get to start: my Methodist roommate Jeff who is very open towards Catholicism, but not (currently) interested in conversion, as far as know.....

theculturewarrior Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Here are some prayers I like to say for the people I love: Convert us, O God Our Savior, and turn away thine anger from us. ^I need conversion too! And here is one of my favorite prayers: Blessed Mother of those whose names you can read in my heart, watch over them with every care. Make their way easy and their labors fruitful. Dry their tears if they weep; sanctify their joys; raise their courage if they weaken; restore their hope if they lose heart, their health if they be ill, truth if they err and repentance if they fall. Amen. It is an old prayer from France, from a time when everybody was Catholic. I think she honors the prayer for anybody whose name she can see in my heart. The prayer has a new meaning, in our secular age.
