Dust's Sister Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 (edited) Hey guys, well I belong to a Catholic Church that's like 20 miles away from my house, and I havn't went to that Church in months. Then there is a Church that is 5 minutes away from me, but I feel I don't get much out of that Church. (A lot of times they ask for money and I don't like that). Then for a few months I went to this one Church BUT for the last two months or so I've been going to ANOTHER Church that's about 15 minutes away from my house, and I like it there best. Is it wrong to go to another Parish, even though you're a "member" to another one? and even though you live the closest to this one Parish, can you still belong to a different one that is not the closest to you? I'm just wondering, because if I can change my membership, I will very soon. ~Darvon Edited October 19, 2005 by Dust's Sister
Pio Nono Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 JMJ 10/19 - Canadian Martyrs Dust's Sister, You really *should* try to go to the parish in which you live - parishes are more than churches, they are carved up pieces of the diocese, and everyone falls within a certain parish's boundaries. No one will stand in the way of your going to the parish you like, but remember that attitude sounds a little Protestant (if you don't like Pastor Brown, just go to a different church). Hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
