Yep. That's what I've found.

The changed circumstances can do a lot to enhance personality characteristics, though, as in the nerds and geeks you referenced. As a card-carrying geek myself, I really came into my own in and after college.

It's only been 3 years since I graduated. My college is in the same town I went to high school with, many of us go here, and I bump into old high school friends often. Also, the ones who are out of town are my facebook friends. Anyone I want to be in touch with, I can be fairly easily, but I don't seem to want to.

My bestfriends from high school I talk to rather infrequently. I've changed a lot. To start with I'm Catholic now....

Most of my HighSchool friends abandoned me because I was a "fundamentalist" Catholic...I miss them, but not as much as I would miss Christ in my life.

i want to go to my 10th...it's next year. i've lost contact with alot of people i was friends with, and i want to re-connect and see what's up with them. so i'm excited to go.

My 10 year reunion is coming up in 2008 (just around the corner, wot?). I don't know if I'll be going or not. My best friends from high school have moved to CA and CO and if they are going, I will if just to see them again.

That I am. I'm turning 29 tomorrow, and have already got a list of things I'm going to do in the year before I turn 30. I should probably narrow it down to 5 doable things ....

I've only kept up with one friend from high school. I don't really even want to go back to Oklahoma, although OKC or Tulsa would probably be nice.

I might go, I might not go... On one hand, high school was an awkward time for me; then again I've changed a lot (and will probably change more) so I'm not going to let that get me down.

Let's just say Jesus gave me an EXTREME makeover and I'm a completely different person from who I was in high school.

I went to my 5th and 10th, but missed the 15th. The 5th was all posturing (who'd graduated college, gotten married etc. and who hadn't), but the 10th was lots of fun. I talked to lots of people I didn't really know in HS... I'll go to my 20th if I know where it is.
